Xiaoqiu Wu, Ph.D.

Enzyme Engineer

Xiaoqiu Wu is the Assistant Laboratory Director at Carbozyme. She has over 20 years of research experience in the field of catalysis and biocatalysis in various research institutions and startup biotech companies. She has extensive experience in nonaqueous enzymology, with unique applications such as biocatalytic polymer synthesis, metal ion sensor development, biofuel cells, enzyme immobilizations, synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates, and membrane gas separations. Her duties at Carbozyme include enzyme immobilization and unique isozyme discovery and development.

Xiaoqiu holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in China.
