William J. Kroll, Ph.D.

Bill Kroll's experience spans more than 30 years and includes executive management in almost every area of business, including fifteen years of service to Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., in two tenures (1986-1994 and 2001-present). During his hiatus from Matheson Tri-Gas, Kroll served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at Emcore, where he was instrumental in taking that company public. Bill Kroll currently serves as the President, Chairman & CEO of Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. Kroll completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Northwestern University. He is an established author having penned more than 50 papers in the areas of physical and chemical vapor deposition for semiconductor technology and is a member of IEEE, SEMI, SPIE, SAE, The Electrochemical Society and MRS. He has served on the Boards of Princeton Photonics and Optoelectronics Materials Center, and currently serves on the boards of the CGA, AeA, IOMA, Circle of Life, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. and Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation. Kroll was inducted into the New Jersey High Tech Hall of Fame in 2004, was named as one of the top 25 Entrepreneurs in New Jersey by NJ Biz in 2006, was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey to his Commission on Outsourcing and Off-shoring in 2007. Under KrollÕs leadership, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. was named Ō2006 Large Company of the YearÕ by the New Jersey Technology Council.
