Carbozyme has identified more than a dozen markets that require either supply or removal of CO₂. All of these markets are characterized by the ability to place CO₂ capture equipment on-site for on-demand use. A significant element of our technology allows us to tailor our design to be optimized for these different requirements.

The markets differ significantly in ease of entry and time to gain a significant market share. They also differ in the complexity of the supply gas (feed stream) with natural gas being particularly challenging, and the product (permeate or retentate) requirements. Certain significant markets, e.g., food and beverage, require certified high purity product, and the quantity required is considerable (thousands of tonnes per day). These markets will require additional technology not currently available. Other markets, such as landfill gas, offer novel benefits. For example, the methane separated from the CO₂ can be burned for electricity and thereby receive credits as it is a renewable energy source.

The Company will enter the appropriate markets when it can meet the respective needs.
