Chemical Engineer III
Carbozyme is seeking a talented and driven Chemical Engineer to support the development of leading-edge CO2 capture systems in their Princeton, New Jersey location. Responsibilities: Knowledge of fossil-based power generation and associated environmental controls. Evaluate, develop and model ideas in support of large-scale CO2 capture projects including new concepts and methods to reduce excess CO2 in our atmosphere. Conceptualize and construct laboratory-scale apparatus for testing and optimization of system for removal and concentration of CO2 from fossil fuels. Generate detailed reports of technology evaluation and assist in writing progress reports and grant applications.
Requirements: M.S. or Ph.D. with minimum of 3-4 years (1-2 yrs with Ph.D.) experience. Must be flexible, technically & scientifically aggressive, broadly read and open to new ideas/concepts. Expected to challenge that which seems scientifically or engineering-wise questionable. Background in environmental science is beneficial. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.

Travel requirements: Two to three meetings per year. Additional travel to subcontractors/partners may be necessary.
